Lake Erie Fishing Report, Lake Erie Jumbo Perch Fishing With Thumper

September Jumbo Perch Fishing off Fairport Harbor lived up to its reputation. The Cleveland Perch shoot out contest was just that with Ron Johnson of Thumper Charters, Marv Degreen of Evil Eye Charters and captain Mike Langer with a 13-1/4" average for 6 fish and the largest box of 11-12 1/2" lake Erie perch I have ever seen in my 30 years of Perch Fishing on Lake Erie. Sadly this would be the last time I fished with Captain Ron Johnson, he will be missed dearly and is a legend on lake Erie.
