Perch Fishing report for September

The Cleveland to Fairport area has some of the best perch fishing in years . Although some days the perch tend to be small the fast bite and numbers make up for it, and other days nice size and getting better every day. And of coarse booking a charter for Lake Erie perch is always more cost effective than owning your own boat and if you mooch of your buddies boat every time be careful because he may only call the guys with the open wallet! Fishing in 40 - 58 feet of water with emerald shiners is the key. Look out of the box and find perch feeding on the bottom away from th pack and Perch fishing charters. The nicest jumbo perch are caught that way. Fairport fishing offers a variety of bottom type and key is finding what the perch are feeding on that day and that can determine the area.
